Anireddy S.N. Reddy is a Professor in the Department of Biology, Program in Molecular Plant Biology and Program in Cell Molecular Biology at Colorado State University. Dr. Reddy has been working on calcium-mediated signal transduction mechanisms and gene regulation, especially at the pre-mRNA splicing level, in plants for over 30 years. His research group is actively involved in genome-wide identification of calcium-signaling components and analysis of their functions in plant development and stress responses using genetic, molecular, biochemical, cell biological and gemomic approaches.
His group has performed in-depth analysis of alternative splicing and characterized a number of splicing regualtors in plants. His other research interests include metabolic engineering and plant biotechnology. He has published over 150 peer-reviewed papers, edited special issues for scientific journals and organized/co-organized several scientific meetings. He has served/serving on editorial boards of several journals including Plant Physiology, Frontiers in Plant Genetics and Genomics, and Scientific Reports. He is a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and the American Society of Plant Biologists (ASPB).
He was elected as a Foreign Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences, India. Additional information about current research projects in Dr. Reddy’s laboratory can be obtained from http://www.biology.colostate.edu/faculty/reddy.
