Milind Rathnaparke Indian Institute of Soy Research, India

Dr. Milind Ratnaparkhe is Senior Scientist at Directorate of Soybean Research, Indore (M.P.) India since 2012. He received Doctorate in Biochemistry from National Chemical Laboratory, Pune and conducted postdoctoral research in the field of plant genome mapping and comparative genomics at URGV Institute, Evry, France, Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, and University of Missouri, Columbia, USA. Dr. Ratnaparkhe has over 18 years of research experience in plant biotechnology and has made significant contribution in genetics and genomics of important legume crops mainly soybean, groundnut, common bean, chickpea and pigeonpea. As a Research scientist at University of Georgia, he worked on comparative genomics studies of peanut allergens and disease resistance genes. His current research involves genetic improvement of soybean through molecular breeding, and comparative/functional genomics approaches.
