About AMDP-2022
SciGenom Research Foundation (SGRF), a not-for-profit organisation, is working to promote Science in India through research and education. We have ongoing research activities spanning Agriculture, Animal health, Biodiversity, Genomics and Human Health. In addition to research activities, through our education arm SGRF Conferences, we have conducted several educational workshops and international conferences to promote science in India.
Looking at the rapid progress made in the field of molecular diagnostics and precision medicine, we are organising an international conference primarily focussing on these 2 areas. This event can become a great platform for researchers, clinicians, innovators, industries to gather, discuss, network, and eventually contribute to the progress and knowledge strengthening the pillars of modern medicine. Centre for Biotechnology, Anna University, Chennai will be our partner in organising this conference. The conference will be held at Vivekananda Auditorium on 15, 16 and 17 September 2022 and expected participants number is 900-1000. The event will include Plenary lectures, Invited talks, Poster presentations for students, Networking sessions and several other scientific programs. We will also be awarding student scholarships, Poster awards, Young Scientist awards and Lifetime achievement awards to deserving candidates and proven performers in the field.

Start-Up Session
The AMDP 2022 Conference has an exclusive one-day track for Life Sciences Startups to pitch in the presence of VCs such as 3One4 Capital, Eight Roads, Sofina, SciGenom and TPG along with the presence of veteran scientists and angel investors such as Sam Santhosh and Dan Peterson. This shall be held on the 17th of September, 2022 at the AMDP Conference venue at Rosetta Hall, Anna University, Chennai.
For Life Sciences Startups who want to apply, the deadline for registration is September 7 and the deadline for submission is 8 pm PT on September 10, 2022. Startups that submit early have a small advantage because we have more time to process their applications. Delayed submission till the 12th of September shall be condoned - though keep in mind that if you apply late, you may not hear back from us, September 12th at the latest. Startups that pay the registration fees but are not selected to Pitch (First 16 registrants to Pitch) can avail the option of either attending the conference or claim the fees paid within 14 business days commencing from the date of us receiving mail for refund.(startups@sgrf.org)
Any management/scientific member of the Start-up can come to present if invited. The Pitch should adhere to the "Startup Pitch Template" put up on the website. We will be inviting teams to talk to us on a rolling basis. September 12th is the latest day you'll know if you can present during the event as we have time slots for only 16 Startups. Wherever possible we will let you know earlier, so that you will have enough time to plan the logistics of travel. If you apply after the deadline, you'll hear back before or by September 12th.
Demo Day will be on the 17th of September, 2022 at the AMDP Conference Venue and the session will be private with startups being called as per the number assigned. The session shall be from 9am to 1:30 pm. Please report by 8 am to the venue. Startups will be given 15 minutes for presentation.
The team at SciGenom and its associated entities shall work further in connecting interested investor groups to selected startups. Today the NGBT-AMDP network is probably the most functional group in the Life Sciences market in India.
